Johno has welcomed more visitors to the region than the city council... supported more students than the college; and a long time non-drinker / non-smoker Johno is an avid campaigner for healthy living in an industry that was fraught with peril.

Going 70 years of age Johno still performs occasionally. Including a few years of taking it to the streets as a busker and events performer on Cairns Esplanade.     Johno's Blues Bar Myspace

Transient - an exhibition by the Upholstery Contemporary arts group in 2007  features at Cairns High library a painting in the style of John Paice - that graced Johno's Blues Bar for many years.
